STORY OF MY GRANDMOTHER, ALLADI
This is a story of my grandmother, Alladi. She is a farmer. When she was about 18 years old, her husband died. Her daughter was just 6 months old. She could have gotten married again but chose not to. She started spinning cotton for a living, slowly built a house for herself and her daughter. Also started farming so that she could educate her daughter. One that was done, she got her daughter married on her own.
Today, my parents, that is her daughter and son inlaw., constantly insist taht she should live with us but my grand mother refuses and says she will do that only when her limbs stop working and she can't work anymore.
She is eighty years old and has been fighting against odds all her life. Even at this age, she continues to farm and sustain herself and thus continues to be a source of strength for all around.
